Buying Makeup Online in Singapore

If you’re reading my blog, chances are you know I shop a lot online for my skincare and makeup items. The first few reasons off the top of my head for doing that are:

  1. No pesky SAs to hover around me and rearrange the testers or items after I’ve handled them.
No offence and respect to you for doing your job, but I don’t like it when they read what’s on the placard or tag describing the product, that I can easily read myself when browsing, or just let me know about the price, which I can also read off the product or shelf.
  2. I like to browse at leisure, compare the colours, selection, prices amongst websites and search for reviews at the same time, to avoid buying a dud.
  3. I can do that at the sane hour of 3am when no brick and mortar shop selling makeup would be open.
Ok, there’s always Mustafa, but no way will you haul me out of my PJs to head down!

I’m sure many of you already know about Zalora, the Singapore-based shopping portal that offers returns and free delivery above a certain amount. Even the C-suite bosses where I work who are in their ‘stuffy’ 50’s know about that successful platform. While browsing, I was happy to see that they do stock one of my favourite mid-budget makeup brands – Sephora.

Yes, Sephora is an institution that needs no introduction and there are a number of Sephora stores in Singapore now, but I still prefer to go online to grab what I want, when I know what I already want, and shop for other makeup or non-makeup items at the same time.

There are a couple of Sephora staples for me, which I am currently using or have used in the past. Let me introduce a few of them to you.

The Sephora Jumbo Liner 12HR Wear Waterproof Pencil (retails $18 on Zalora)

My blog entry about it Sephora Jumbo Liner

Sephora Liner

Beige and Taupe are my travel staples which I use as both eyeshadow and liner.

Another product I really like for light marks is the Sephora Lasting and Perfecting Corrector ($23 on Zalora)

My previous blog entry about it Here.

Sephora Corrector

The very first concealer I’ve actually finished up! Handy, easy to apply and flattering on yellow-based Asian Chinese skin.

Can’t wait to buy makeup products online? Now you can at Zalora 🙂
