Lipglosses have come a long long loooooooooooooong way since their initial tacky gloopy and hair sticking days.
Especially drugstore lipglosses that don’t break the bank.
Here’s introducing to you the Made in Germany Essence XXXL Nudes Lipgloss in 03 Nude Kiss at just S$3.90 in a mega 5ml tube!
The applicator is a slightly flat spongetip applicator that applies very well and evenly on my lips. As you can see, the wand doesn’t get the goopy lipgloss all over it except for the sponge tip, which is excellent.
That’s the back of hand swatch – the rightmost 03 Nude Kiss. Taken with flash. Just a couple of swipes. Very decent colour payoff. This is scented with a vanilla/buttercream scent that I can’t smell when the lipgloss is on my lips. Just straight off from the wand.
Non-tacky, wonderful sheen and very moisturising. Except that it tends to sink slightly into the lines of lips, but only shows up in my photo and not IRL, probably owing to the thin consistency. It’s not obvious as 03 Nude Kiss is a light pink-nude shade, MLBB. But I’d imagine darker colours *might* show this up more noticeably.
So, move over, Silk Naturals’ St Tropez! I’ve found a new love 🙂
I’d be keen in grabbing more when I’m next at an Essence counter 🙂 A
At just S$3.90 a pop, what’s there not to love?
