Infallible Love for the L’oreal Infallible Eyeshadow in 009 Permanent Kaki Khaki

Meet my latest acquisition, all the way from the UK! The 009 Permanent Kaki (or Khaki?) eyeshadow from the Lóreal Infallible range!

My other 2 Infallible eyeshadows are 027 Goldmine and 021 Sahara Treasure. You can click on the links to view the swatches.

Unlike in Singapore, most of the cosmetics in the UK are not sealed nor shrinkwrapped.

This is the 3rd in my small L’oreal Infallible eyeshadow collection and probably the last one, unless new shades get released.

Retails at 6.99 GBP, but snapped up on Boots.co.uk during a 3.99 sale!

The formulation is a creamy powder texture that is packed into the jar and held in place with a black cover. Permanent kaki is a middish olive green that has a golden sheen to it.

The swatches are on bare skin, without primer, and taken with natural daylight.

The swatch on the left is a simple swipe and the one on the right is heavily swatched. Great pigmentation and colour payoff!

Because of the olive green and slight golden sheen, this is a neutral shade rather than pulling cold or warm, in my opinion.

This would make an awesome liner shade. Personally, on my lids as an eyeshadow, it’d have to be sheered out, or else used as a subtle crease shade.

As far as I’m aware, this shade is not available in Singapore, hence the hassle of getting it off Boots.co.uk to be shipped to a family friend and then picked up by my mum who happened to be visiting! 😀 Permanent Kaki is also known as Golden Sage in the US.
