Sale Alert: The Body Shop Foaming Cleansers S$16.90

On the First Day of the New Year, I bought… 4 foaming cleansers 😛

From 30 Dec 2011 – 3 Jan 2012 (that’s 2 more days for you), The Body Shop stores in Singapore are running discounts on selected products. The whole list is available at http://www.thebodyshop.com.sg/en/products_promotions.aspx

Haul of the day

As I was running low on my foaming cleansers, which are a gentle alternative if you double cleanse or just don’t want to strip your face of too much moisture, I picked up these 4 from the Nutriganics and Moisture White Shiso range.

The Body Shop’s foaming cleansers come in 150 ml pump containers, slightly smaller tan the 162 ml used by Joppa’s Cucumber Foaming Cleanser (https://lipglossfiend.wordpress.com/2011/05/29/sunday-beautytalk-my-daily-facial-wash-cleansers/).

The Body Shop’s Nutriganics Foaming Facial Wash is, in my opinion, at a sale price of S$16.90, one of the better buys in Singapore if you’re into organic/green skincare. The usual retail price is S$26.90, making this at approximately 37% off it. While not every ingredient is certified organic, the information on the label gives the breakdown of the percentage. The product also meets the EcoCert certification standards. No silicones and parabens are found in this product.

(I believe this used to retail at S$24.90 earlier in May 2011 but the price has risen by $2 since.)

The ingredients are:

Full Ingredients
Aqua (Solvent/Diluent), Sucrose (Humectant), Glycerin (Humectant), Propanediol (Viscosity Modifier), Coco-Betaine (Skin Conditioning Agent), Cocamidopropyl Betaine (Surfactant), Coco-Glucoside (Surfactant), Polyglyceryl-4 Caprate (Skin Conditioning Agent), Sodium Chloride (Viscosity Modifier), Sucrose Laurate (Skin Conditioning Agent), Sodium Benzoate (Preservative), Salicylic Acid (Preservative/Hair Conditioner), Parfum (Fragrance), Linalool (Fragrance Ingredient), Citronellol (Fragrance Ingredient), Orbignya Oleifera Seed Oil (Emollient), Buddleja Davidii Extract (Skin Conditioning Agent), Thymus Vulgaris Extract (Natural Additive), Malva Sylvestris Flower Extract (Natural Additive), Arginine (Skin Conditioning Agent), Citric Acid (pH Adjuster), Potassium Sorbate (Preservative).

The Moisture White Shiso Foaming Facial Wash usually goes for S$30.90, making $16.90 a good 45% off. This is a range I’ve not tried any of the products from, so I was curious enough to pick up 2 of them. While I’m not expecting any “whitening” effects from a facial wash, I’m curious to see if having vitamin C in a facial wash would clean or brighten any better. Although it’s not explicitly written, there are no parabens and silicones in this facial wash too.

The full ingredients are:

Aqua (Solvent/Diluent), Cocamidopropyl Betaine (Surfactant), PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil (Emulsifier), Polysorbate 20(Emulsifier), Glycerin (Humectant), Coco-Glucoside (Surfactant), Sodium Chloride (Viscosity Modifier), Benzyl Alcohol (Preservative),Phenoxyethanol (Preservative), Sodium Benzoate (Preservative), Sesamum Indicum Seed Oil (Skin-Conditioning Agent), Perilla Ocymoides Seed Oil (Skin-Conditioning Agent), Glycine Soja Oil (Emollient/Skin Conditioner), Magnesium Ascorbyl Phosphate (Antioxidant), PVP (Hair Fixative),Parfum (Fragrance), Dipotassium Glycyrrhizate (Skin Conditioning Agent), Glycyrrhiza Glabra Root Extract (Conditioning Agent, Humectant).

Are you planning on stocking up on any yet?
