LOTD: Darling Girl 24K Rose Liquid Kiss

Here’s what I have on my lips today, from the Darling Girl Cosmetics purchase I received yesterday.

The 24K Rose Liquid Kiss in Formula 2:

Formula 2 Ingredients: Castor Seed Oil, Cetyl Stearyl Alcohol, Olive Fruit Oil, Beeswax, Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Glycine Soybean Lipds, Lauryl Laurate, Carnauba Wax, Candillia Wax. Hydrogenated Polyisobutene (and) Ethylene/Propylene/Styrene Copolymer (and) Butylene/Ethylene/Styrene Copolymer.

Both formula’s may also contain: Mica, Titanium Dioxide, Iron Oxide, Manganase Violet

24K Rose

Thanks to much better natural daylight rather than at eventide, the colour is so much true-er on my lips. It’s emollient without being sticky/tacky. I might actually prefer this to Silk Naturals’ formula. Maybe. I’m still undecided 🙂

It’s described as a bright vivid pink warmed up with lots of gold pearl. As this goes on somewhat sheer, I don’t think the “bright vivid pink” part was anything to worry about. The gold pearl is the first to go when licking your lips or sipping from that glass of water. But a nice light shine and a very subtle pink flush does remain for a while.

Rating out of 10
Price: 9 (USD$3.25 for a 3.5 ml tube. A larger size is available)
Quality: 8.5 (Lovely sheen, formula and colour. Just wish it’d stay longer 🙂
Packaging: 8 (Small, handy 3.5 ml tube with a sponge tip applicator. I’d like to see a water- and rub-proof label though, along with ingredients listed on the label)
Ease of usage: 9 (lovely sheer shade that’s hard to go wrong with. Goes on in smooth layers)
Overall score:  8.6
